ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Karoline, an aspiring web developer with an interest in UX/UI design. I’m a web developer living in Chicago, Illinois. I spend my days learning about web development from back end programming (PHP) to front end engineering (HTML, CSS, and jQuery/JavaScript), user experience, and visual design.

I am extremely passionate about web development and design in all its forms. Ever since I took my first programming class and coded my first project I fell in love with web development. I have always been extremely creative and over the top in everything I do. In a way I see web development as a form of art, and myself as the artist. I love seeing my websites start out as ideas on a piece of paper, watching them grow, and come alive like a work of art.

A dog adoption website that allows a user to view a variety of puppies and dogs that are available for adoption. The user can also reserve an appointment to meet the animal they are interested in. All of the information that is displayed on the website is accessed from a database.

The site also includes an employee backend website. Employees have to register and login to be able to access the information. Here employees can add or edit the animals information. All of the information being added or edited is accessed and sent to a database. The employees can also view weekly appointment reservations made by the users.

First, the customer type has to be selected, which determines what discount percentage a customer will receive.
